PCAP SCREEN DESIGNED TO PERFORM IN THE OUTDOOR
When we design the custom PCAP screen for the outdoor device (kiosk, digital signage panel), we always bear in mind the factors that can negatively influence the functionality of the PCAP touch (rain, sun, vandalism). We have taken these factors into account and designed a completely unique FORTOUCH O product for outdoor use.
KEEP YOUR DEVICE SAFE
For all outdoor located devices, there is a chance that they can become the target of vandalism. The standard type of glass might not be strong enough to resist vandalism, which might lead to a destroyed device. Therefore, for our customers' convenience and higher safety of the devices, we use tempered vandal proof PCAP screens with impact resistance up to 10IK. Those screens are protected against 20 joules of impact.
APPEALING DEVICE IN THE SUNLIGHT
Outdoor located devices are often under sunlight, which causes an unwanted reflection, makes the image hard to read (creating eye-strain), and discourages passers-by from using it. Using either the Anti-Glare or Anti-Reflective cover glass reduces the level of reflection, improves the readability, and makes your device more appealing even under direct sunlight!
IMPROVED OPERATING TEMPERATURE
The issue with overheating is common in countries with a hot climate. When the strong sunlight shines on your device the whole day, it starts overheating, and the PCAP sensor might get dysfunctional. To protect not just the sensor but also the entire device, we laminate two pieces of glass with a particular infra-red film, decreasing the transmission of IR energy. This solution increases the highest possible operating temperature and helps to avoid the overheating problem.
PCAP SCREEN THAT CAN PERFORM IN THE RAIN
Outdoor interactive kiosks are naturally prone to ghost touches when raindrops are on the surface of the screen. In FORTES interactive, we enhance our PCAP screens' water performance by finetuning the touch sensor's firmware and adjusting the surface of the cover-glass!
The cover-glass is an essential part of FORTES PCAP screens. Our focus on customization allows you to choose from four different types of cover-glass. All of them were designed to perform flawlessly with our PCAP sensor.
The best possible viewing experience! The high transparency of the Ultra-Clear cover glass allows you to display the image in the best possible purity. The glass does not affect the displayed colors so that you can present the content sharply and accurately!
The matte surface of the Anti-Glare cover glass reduces the reflection, increases the readability, and enhances the haptic experience. Those benefits make the Anti-Glare the most popular type of cover-glass within the interactive industry! It is a perfect choice for any device located in areas of intense direct or ambient light.
The Anti-Reflective glass will help you display information clearly in areas with a few highly localized sources of light. The unique surface decreases the reflection level, increases light transmission, and thus helps reduce energy output (costs). In comparison with Anti-Glare glass, it keeps its glossy surface, which ads the premium look to your final device.
Mirror glass has a special type of coating that allows it to act as mirror in favorable lighting conditions. This Mirror effect will enable you to create features for modern and interactive interior designs.
